Tim Burt has a passion for community, particularly in River Heights. He was once heavily involved with the River Heights Community Club, as a V.P. Baseball and hockey equipment manager, hockey team manager, and board member.
Tim founded Cardinal Capital Management in 1992. He was also a past board member for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Manitoba Opera, the Reh-Fit Centre, and the Banff Centre Foundation. He was president of the WSO for 4 years.
Tim and his wife Barb who have been married for 51 years raised their three children, Melanie, Emily and Ben in the community of River Heights, where they attended Kelvin High School.
Tim and his family have lived in River Heights since 1980. Tim was also a sessional lecturer at the University of Manitoba for 8 years. He has been involved in politics for a large part of his life, having served as the president of Winnipeg South Centre EDA and the River Heights Riding Association.
