Affordable Housing

Co-op housing that reflect shared green spaces and amenities, built in a more environmentally conscious manner

Community-Building

Community building is a mutual responsibility, we see this in the strong base of volunteers and strong attendance at community events. Celebration of diversity through a vibrant arts and culture program is necessary.

Diversity

Diversity is about respecting and accepting individual differences, different cultures, organizations and ensuring all have a voice.

Environment & Sustainability

We have an intrinsic connection to our lands and water ways and a responsibility to educate, inform, and transform how we are using the water, land and air. What are we leaving to sustain the future generations?

Farmland and the ALR

Farmland and ALR needs to be protected. I am not supportive of removing lands from the ALR.

Good Governance

Good governance includes being open and available to listen to the constituents, being transparent and honest, efficient use of resources and time, always work towards building consensus for the good of all.

Parks

Maintaining our parks is vital to the health and wellbeing of our community.

Reconciliation

The TRC is not only about the legacy of Residential Schools. It is a multi-faceted process that restores lands, economic self-sufficiency, and political jurisdiction to First Nations, and develops respectful and just relationships. Pitt Meadows needs to be more engaged

Recreation

Improve our parks to be accessible for all, support additional fields for soccer and baseball. Bike trails that are family friendly

Traffic

Traffic issues, like road networking and bussing needs to adapt.Communications and consultation with Translink, Provincial, Federal reps will be important and understanding how the planned upgrades will work into the Metro Vancouver 2040 Regional Strategy.

I have a strong and unshakable connection to Pitt Meadows through the history of my people, the Katzie, who came out of Pitt Lake over 12, 000 years ago.
