Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
Hi, my name is Daniel Jefferies.
I have never had the desire to get involved in politics, that is, until now.

Recently I became deeply frustrated and concerned by our government’s response to the pandemic. I watched as our rights, freedoms, and livelihoods were brushed aside in the name of “safety.” I watched authoritarian methods of governance enacted by Ottawa and Edmonton.

I saw that I could no longer trust the current governments in Canada or Alberta to protect our rights, our freedoms, and a free future for our children. The time to get involved was right now.

Alberta stands at a crossroads, and this is a very important provincial election.

My broad range of experiences and education has prepared me for the task of fighting for and maintaining Freedom for Albertans.

Growing up on a dairy farm outside of Olds, I learned a lot about the value of personal responsibilities, hard work, discipline, and finishing the job.

In school I studied hard to graduate as the valedictorian of my high school class and went on to complete two Bachelor’s degrees, and a Master’s degree.

I am a husband, father, and teacher.

I have been a pastor, coal miner, and self-employed.

Since coming to Mirror in 2013 I’ve volunteered for the Food Bank, the Community Network, the Fire Department, and the Mirror and District Community Development Association.

I believe human governments are accountable to God and to their people.

I believe that Alberta needs elected representatives who understand that the proper roles of government are to protect individuals’ rights and to impartially administer justice.

I believe that Alberta needs a mandate from the people to reject destructive federal policies.

Let me be your voice and your elected representative to ensure Freedom for Albertans.

I, and all Wildrose Loyalty Candidates, pledge to abide by the Wildrose recall policy. If 50% + 1 of the number of people who voted in this election sign a petition to remove me, I will step down and defend myself in a by-election.

Thank you for your consideration,
