I believe that Chilliwack has great untapped potential. The keys are innovation, fiscal responsibility, and social progress, and that's why I'm running for Chilliwack MLA with the B.C. Green Party.
Fiscal responsibility calls for triple-bottom-line: financial, social, environmental. The challenges we face as a society also present us with great opportunities. As your MLA I pledge to work with all levels of government to see Chilliwack become a destination people want to both live AND work in, not merely a bedroom community.
Innovation is the key to rejuvenation in economic drivers such as agriculture and forestry in the Chilliwack region. 20th century status quo fails to respond meaningfully to urgent issues of environmental decline, social fracturing, and erosion of democratic process. B.C. needs much better than 'the best governance money can buy' that the current government has saddled us with.
I will continue to dedicate my energies to cultural diversity and a sense of belonging for everyone in our community, and work on reconciling the historical relationships with Indigenous people using the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: Calls to Action as guidelines.
These are key B.C. Green Party principles. Join us in bringing progressive government to Chilliwack and to B.C.
