Financial: Encourage government to adopt integrated programs to ensure a more competitive position. New Westminster has been Mr Crosty's home for just under three decades. He has been an active part of both community and government from the beginning making beneficial contributions to both. Throughout his business career, James has been responsible for the direction of hundreds of employees, including all levels of management and in the production workplace: the culmination of his hands-on experiences and proven abilities is evident in his work. At sixty years young, he has proven to be a sincerely committed community leader and will bring 30+ years of business expertise and job creation experience. Awards: Business Person of the Year: Nominated (2008) New West Chamber of Commerce, Business of The Year: (1999) Enterprise Magazine (Vancouver), Business & the Arts; Second Place award 1999 Vancouver Board of Trade, Business Excellence Award 2000 (Surrey Chamber of Commerce) and Business Person of the Year 1999 (Nomination for James Crosty (SCofC). Board Positions: Hyack Festival Association: Vice President(2009) & Director at Large (2008), Surrey Arts Council: Vice President & Director (2014/17), Quayside Community Board: President (2005/17), McBride Sapperton Residents Assoc: Vice President (1990/93), DOWNTOWN BIA : Promotional Committee (2010) and Quaywest Residential Strata (2005/17). A cancer survivor, caregiver mom (93) and with his partner for 40 years. James hails from a family of 10 and enjoys many of the simple New West experiences.
