Biography
Today as a Burnaby based businessman, a proud father of four children, and a leader in the Bangladesh community, he would be honoured to be the MLA for Burnaby-Lougheed. He has deep roots in the community is looks forward to continuing to invest in it.
He recognizes how important big industry is to this province, and yet deeply understands the day to day thoughts of families, seniors and small business as they navigate these unpredictable times. The engine of the economy is small business and we need to keep it strong and viable, to better provide for children, seniors, and young families.
An active community member, Tariq is always ready to roll up his sleeves to help. Under his leadership, he founded the Vancouver Bangla School to promote multiculturalism and to build a stronger, resilient community, which thrives and flourishes as it integrates with the Canadian mainstream.
Tariq Malik, cast his first vote in Canada 28 years ago and remembers the day fondly, "I felt that I exist in the world, and have a voice." He never thought that now he would be running in a campaign of his own, working to use his voice to help all citizens of the province.
The only way to get BC back on track is to elect as many BC Liberal candidates as possible in this hastily called election on Oct 24th.
I humbly ask vote for your support to ensure I am sitting in the Legislative Assembly when the government sits next.
