Seven things I'll push for at the Council table:
- Smart growth, properly planned: development sequenced alongside the roads, sidewalks, utilities, parks and services it depends on, so neighbourhoods get finished rather than left waiting.
- Infrastructure that catches up to the population: a funded plan to close the gaps residents live with today, starting with the sidewalks, intersections and congestion points people raise most often.
- Responsible spending and open numbers: clear reporting on debt and on what a project costs to operate once it opens.
- Genuine engagement with residents: real consultation with time and plain information to respond, and an open account of how that input shaped the decision.
- Transparent, accountable governance: reports released before the vote instead of after it.
- Bylaw and municipal services that keep pace: enforcement and front-line services resourced for the size this Township has become.
- Investment in youth and community life: mentorship, recreation and community programs that give young people somewhere to belong.
Langley Strong's plan has one goal: restoring respect in the Township of Langley. Respect for your tax dollars. Respect for your neighbourhood. Respect for all generations and all voices, even the ones with a different opinion. Respect for democracy and accountability. That means fixing the books first (a forensic audit, then a public payback plan for B.C.'s biggest municipal debt), holding tax increases to the lowest level the books allow, building only what we can pay for with the price tag public before the vote, treating every community as an equal partner, and governing in the open: real consultation before major decisions, real answers at the Council table, and real accountability to the people we serve. Biography
I'm a Willoughby resident, a technology executive and founder of MaxQA Testing, a Rotarian, and a supporter of local community groups and youth mentorship in the Township.
I've built my career on accountability, careful planning and delivering what I said I would, leading software quality teams and then starting my own consultancy. I hold an MBA from Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business. Service has been the constant: Rotary, Langley Meals on Wheels, the Langley Hospital Foundation, the Immigrant Women Initiative, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley.
A technology executive and business owner. I founded MaxQA Testing, a quality assurance and software testing consultancy. This background allows me to weigh the evidence, find the problems, and understand what a decision really costs.
Municipal experience from the inside. As a quality assurance specialist for the City of Burnaby, I automated testing for complex systems. I have seen how a local government actually delivers services to residents, and where large projects tend to go wrong.
Service above self, close to home. I'm a member of the Langley Sunrise Rotary Club. I was the second-highest fundraiser at last year's Grand Parade for Langley Meals on Wheels, I support the Giving Hearts Gala for the Langley Hospital Foundation, and I sponsor the 75 Doors Campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley.
Reason for running
I'm running for Council with Langley Strong because five years in Willoughby have shown me what happens when growth outruns planning: broken sidewalks, gridlocked traffic, infrastructure and bylaw enforcement that cannot keep up.
These aren't just inconveniences. They wear away the trust residents place in their Council. I want to be a practical, forward-thinking voice at that table, working for a positive future for generations to come.
