Local businesses are the backbone of our community and economy. I support reviewing permitting processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, clearer communication, and timely decisions. My goal is to help businesses navigate City Hall while ensuring development is responsible and meets community standards.

I support attracting and retaining businesses, encouraging local entrepreneurship, and working with community partners to create jobs and investment opportunities. As Langford grows, we need to balance economic development with thoughtful planning, infrastructure, and the services residents rely on.

I believe parks are essential community spaces. As Langford grows, we need to preserve and expand parks, trails, playgrounds, and natural areas so families have places to connect, play, and enjoy the outdoors while balancing responsible growth.

I will support transparent planning processes, encourage meaningful community engagement, and work to ensure new development is supported by the roads, parks, recreation facilities, schools, and services our growing community needs.

Homelessness is a complex issue that cannot be solved by municipalities alone. I will work with the Province, BC Housing, Island Health, local First Nations, non-profit organizations, neighbouring municipalities, and community partners to support practical solutions that balance compassion, public safety, prevention, and access to appropriate housing and services.

I believe good governance is built on trust. I will listen to residents, ask thoughtful questions, make informed decisions based on facts & community input, & work respectfully with fellow Council members, staff, & community partners.

Langford is one of the fastest-growing communities in BC, & we need to plan for the future, not just react to growth. I will support long term planning that considers transportation, parks, recreation, community amenities, infrastructure, & financial sustainability so today’s decisions continue to benefit future generations.

I believe the best decisions are made when residents are informed and involved. I support transparent communication, accessible public engagement, and creating opportunities for people to share their ideas before major decisions are made. Listening to our community builds trust and leads to better outcomes.

Young people are the future of our community, and their perspectives matter. As part of my proposed Langford Sports & Recreation Advisory Committee, I want to include youth representatives so they can help shape recreation opportunities and community priorities. I also support finding more ways to involve youth in civic engagement and encourage the next generation of community leaders.

As Langford continues to grow, our recreation facilities need to grow with it. I will advocate for long term planning, stronger partnerships, & exploring grants and sponsorships to improve access to sports and recreation while being responsible with taxpayer dollars. I also want to establish a Langford Sports & Recreation Advisory Committee to help identify community priorities and future facility needs.

I will work with Island Health, the Province, neighbouring municipalities, and community partners to advocate for improved access to healthcare while continuing to invest in parks, recreation, active transportation, and community spaces that support healthy lifestyles.

As Langford grows, our public amenities need to grow too. I support ensuring public washrooms are available where residents, families, seniors, visitors, and people enjoying our parks and trails need them most. Well-maintained public facilities improve accessibility, encourage outdoor recreation, and make our community more welcoming.

Safe transportation means more than roads. I support improving sidewalks, and multi-use trails so residents of all ages can walk, bike, and roll safely throughout our community.
