I've been fortunate to work alongside many dedicated volunteers and organizations committed to making Chilliwack a stronger and more vibrant community. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that communities are strongest when people actively participate.

Chilliwack continues to undergo rapid growth. I’ve lived here, gone to school here, worked here, owned a business here, and established my career here over the past 42 years. Like everyone else, I’ve watched Chilliwack change. Some of it is exciting and some of it can be frustrating but with that growth come opportunities. However, we can’t simply rush into it without thoughtful planning. Decisions about housing, transportation, infrastructure, recreation, public safety, local business, and arts and culture are not isolated issues unto themselves but are interconnected and they shape the kind of community we will become.

We need to look forward, not backward, while ensuring that everyone is included, respected, and able to live, work, and prosper in this amazing community.
