Biography
I’m married to Su. We have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren. I’m 4th Generation Victorian and retired after 50 years in heavy civil and municipal infrastructure construction, estimating and project management.
I have lived in Saanich for over 40 years and was involved in the community as youth soccer and baseball coach for 15 consecutive years. I have extensive board experience with BC Aggregate Producers, Victoria Harbour Divestiture Committee, creating the GVHA, Island Equipment Owners Association as President and Vancouver Island Construction Association as board chair.
After a successful career, I am ready to give back to the community where we raised our family. My extensive experience in civil construction, project management, board service and a lifelong connection to Saanich and the Capital Regional District, I believe I am well qualified to represent the citizens of Saanich. Reason for running
I have an extensive career in civil engineering with years spent in paving, excavating, sewer, building, estimating etc., and have a reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget.
I have a vast knowledge of what is required to deliver a balanced budget and will know when we are overpaying for projects like our roads, sidewalks, buildings, sewer repair, as I have tackled all those projects in the past.
I have lived in Saanich for over 40 years and raised my family in this community. I have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren and know all about the trials and tribulations young families are facing as I watch my children and their families tackle it every day.
I love Saanich and want to push it to be better by listening to the members of the community instead of pushing any individual agenda. I am purely independent and will work for the people that vote for me.
I have sat on many boards in my lifetime and am well equipped to listen thoughtfully and respectfully to the needs and viewpoints of others even when they drastically contradict my own.
