Frankie Abel is a Gitxsan woman, mother and advisor who grew up in northern B.C. She brings lived experience of the challenges facing northern families, alongside her work in cultural safety, Indigenous governance and public policy. Guided by her family and Wilp’s teachings, Frankie carries a responsibility to give back to her community and region.
Her experience walking in two worlds—within Gitxsan governance and provincial institutions—has taught her to build relationships, speak up and keep the people she serves at the centre of her work.
