LGBTQ+ students and bullying platforms

Here's what the 2026 BC Provincial Election parties are promising.
We don't have any BC NDP policies on LGBTQ+ students and bullying.

BC Conservative

  • Repeal the Ministry of Education's endorsement of SOGI 123, an independently-developed set of anti-bullying and teaching resources related to sexual orientation and gender identity

“I’ll say this about SOGI. I think that it has become an absolute lightning rod for division in our province, and it has become a challenge. And I think that many people are confused about what SOGI has become in our school.

I firmly believe that we have to repeal SOGI. Obviously we have to provide a safe place for our kids. Just like I said in Bridgeview yesterday, I went as a child to the Bridgeview Elementary School and felt safe.

We need to continue that tradition. But I do believe that SOGI has to be repealed.”

BC Green

  • Continue supporting and expanding SOGI 123, an independently-developed set of anti-bullying and teaching resources related to sexual orientation and gender identity

"Continue supporting and expanding the SOGI 123 initiative to create inclusive school environments that support 2SLGBTQIA+ students and address the topics of gender identity and sexual orientation." — Believe in Better, retrieved 2026-10-13
