Jerry Kok is a longtime Maple Ridge resident, community advocate, and local business leader running for Mayor of Maple Ridge. Having called Maple Ridge home for more than 45 years, he has deep roots in the community where he grew up, raised a family, and built a career focused on strengthening local connections and economic opportunity.

Kok served for four years as President of the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce, helping expand membership, strengthen partnerships with local governments, and increase the Chamber's role as a voice for the business community. He was also recognized with the Chamber's first Legacy Award for his contributions to local economic development and community building.

As a small business owner and community volunteer, Kok says his priorities include supporting local businesses, keeping life affordable, promoting transparent and independent leadership, and ensuring residents have a strong voice in municipal decision-making. He is running as an independent candidate because he believes council members should be free to represent residents without being bound by a political slate or group agenda.

Kok says his leadership approach is based on listening, collaboration, and finding practical solutions that help Maple Ridge grow economically, socially, and sustainably
