Biography

Langley City mother of four with an MSc in International Business. I've spent my career helping organizations set strategic direction, align operations to meet their goals, and deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects. I'll bring that experience to our school board.

My family has called Langley City home since 2017, and it's where our four kids are growing up.

I hold a Master's of Science in International Business and have spent my career helping organizations turn plans into results. In consulting with PwC, I focused on operational efficiency and effective planning: helping organizations make better use of their resources. At the City of Vancouver, I worked in Strategic Planning and Program Management, the team brought in to lead large initiatives that crossed multiple departments. I was a key member of the team that developed Vancouver's Empty Homes Tax, and when COVID-19 hit in 2020, I was the first project manager from our team assigned to the City's Emergency Operations Centre. I was chosen for both roles because of my track record of delivering results on complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

That experience fits what a school board does. Trustees set the district's direction, oversee a large public budget, and balance the needs of students, families, staff, and the province, often with limited resources. Good governance means asking whether a plan will really deliver, whether the money is going where it matters most, and whether the people affected have been heard.

I want to bring that discipline to the board on behalf of Langley City families, so that our schools plan for growth and every student has the support they need to succeed.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
With SkyTrain coming and new homes going up, Langley City is growing fast. We've seen what happens when schools don't plan ahead: portables and disruptive boundary changes. I'm running to push for building capacity before growth arrives - now, not when it's too late.
