I believe in a pragmatic government – one that takes tangible steps and gets things done. The Liberals have a strong track record making real change – whether that be for Women’s Rights, LGBTQ2S+ Rights, Environmental Protection – and most recently their well-thought-out response to the pandemic. I am eager to serve Saanich-Gulf Islands so we can continue to serve the people in this riding to get the climate action, support for seniors and economic recovery that we all deserve.
Sherri Moore-Arbour is running as the Liberal candidate in Saanich-Gulf Islands in the 2021 federal election. She has dedicated her life to serving the community – as a locally elected school trustee, service club member and community builder. She has served on Boards at the local, provincial and national levels.
Sherri is co-founder and Principal of a successful national public affairs company. She understands the vital role small- and medium sized businesses will have in driving our economic recovery. Her commitment to service and professional excellence converge in her work advising leaders in public health, public education and Indigenous reconciliation.
Sherri is a solutions-focussed leader who will ensure that constituent needs are actioned by our government.
Sherri is Métis, and mother of two sons. She is passionate about building a more sustainable future for her family and community, and taking real action in the fight against climate change.
The federal pandemic response has shown how much government impacts our day-to-day lives. During times of instability, Canadians need a stable and compassionate government.
Reason for running
MP Elizabeth May has served the community well by bringing attention to critical environmental issues - both in the riding and across the country. We are grateful to her capacity to bring issues to the forefront. We need an MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands who can take action in Ottawa. We need strong majority government to take real climate action. That won’t come from the Conservatives, and it can’t come from the Green Party.
