Pat Kelly was first elected as the Member of Parliament in 2015 and was re-elected in 2019 and 2021.
MP Kelly is the Shadow Minister for Prairie Economic Development and Advisor to Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre (economy). He is a member of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.
He previously served in a variety of shadow cabinet and critic roles. His has also served on a variety of Parliamentary Committees including National Defence, Public Accounts, Government Operations, and was Chair of the Standing Committee on Access to information Privacy and Ethics.
Pat graduated from the University of Calgary in 1994 with a BA in Political Science. He worked as a mortgage broker from 1994 to 2015. He was a partner in his brokerage (2001-2015), President of the Alberta Mortgage Brokers’ Association (2003-2004 and 2006-2007), sat on the Real Estate Council of Alberta (2013-2015), and taught pre-licensing mortgage broker education at Mount Royal University (2003-2013).
Pat is from Calgary and grew up in Silver Springs. He and his wife Kimberley have lived in Ranchlands since 1995. They have three daughters.
