Born and raised in east Toronto, and a proud Beaches-East York resident, Jocelyne has been dedicated to improving her communities. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), with nearly a decade of her career in financial leadership across dynamic, high-growth environments. She is dedicated to leveraging her expertise in leadership, strategy, and sustainability to address the challenges facing Canadians today. Throughout her career, Jocelyne has guided organizations through critical transitions, enhancing operational efficiency and managing risk. She has been a trusted advisor to business leaders, known for her ability to develop and successfully implement strategies that strengthen organizations while maintaining financial discipline. Her work has consistently focused on creating tangible, lasting impact, aligning with her commitment to results-oriented leadership.
Beyond her professional life, Jocelyne is an award-winning community leader with a deep passion for public service. She has championed or supported various initiatives including but not limited to medical illness detection and treatment, youth development, poverty reduction, and the environment. From leading philanthropic campaigns to volunteering her time with various organizations, Jocelyne has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the well-being of people.
Over the past nine years, she’s watched the growing pressures on Canadians—whether it’s rising cost of living, sharp increase in interest rates affecting homeowners and businesses, crime on the rise, record numbers of people lining up at the food bank or young people struggling to see a future where they can succeed. She believes in the need for fiscal responsibility in government, affordability for Canadians, and a vision for a more prosperous Canada.
Fluent in both English and French, she can represent the riding at the national level. She has been active politically as a volunteer for almost a decade. She is drawn to government due to its significant impact on civil society and the vital importance of ensuring it operates effectively and responsibly.
She is a long-time runner and softball player who enjoys the social, physically active, and outdoor components of these activities, and is naturally drawn to activities that contain these elements. She strongly appreciates local businesses and supports them as often as she can.
