Mario Guay is a long-time resident of Saint-Colomban and a proud advocate for a greener, healthier future. A construction entrepreneur with a deep love for nature, environmental planning, and holistic wellness, Mario is the father of five wonderful adult children and has been sharing life with his incredible partner for the past 15 years.

Born in Montréal and raised in LaSalle, Mario holds a degree in accounting from Concordia University. Since the age of nine, he’s spent holidays and summers in the Laurentians, where his family built lasting memories in their Saint-Colomban cottage. Two decades ago, he made this peaceful and growing community his permanent home.

Mario is passionate about the evolution of society and believes that sustainable living must be at the heart of our future. He sees the Green Party of Canada as the only political force truly capable of leading an ecological transition — one that is peaceful, inclusive, and community-driven.

“I’m new to the environmental movement,” he says, “but every day I work to become a better, greener human being.”

As the Green candidate in the riding of Mirabel — which includes communities like Saint-Colomban, Mirabel, Oka, Saint-Placide, Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac and more — Mario is committed to representing the voices of citizens who care deeply about protecting the environment and ensuring a better future for generations to come.
