Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I am running for the animals in this election because there is no political party that is looking out for them. Animals are considered property, and you only have to picture yourself or your pet in the situations they find themselves in to know that is wrong.

This is a critical election. As you know there's a lot going on to the south of us and internationally. But it's not a time to forget that we share the planet with millions and millions of other beings on whom we are dependent for everything from production of oxygen, continuity of food chains and life itself, but more importantly; not just for our own self interest. But for the sake of other beings themselves who all want to live just as we do.

None of us want to be cruel to animals and nobody likes to see cruelty to animals perpetuated by our corporations and our society as we see everyday in videos of slaughterhouses exposed for their mistreatment of animals, of animals stuck in gestation crates 24/7, of chickens' mass asphyxiations because if avian flu.

People think there is nothing we can do, but there is!

A vote for me is not a wasted vote. It is a vote for the animals and for our world and will at the very least press other political parties into realizing that many, many, many people care.
