Growing up, Emma witnessed rapid growth throughout Southern Alberta, and became dedicated to ensuring that future developments in beautiful areas like these are sustainable and structurally advantageous for their communities for many years to come.
Her love of politics and the environment translated into a B.Sc., in Environmental Studies and Global Sustainability, with minors in Political Science and International Relations.
Emma is currently working as the Western Organizer for the Green Party of Canada, hoping to elect Green MPs across Western Canada. Last year, she played a huge role in the success of a winning B.C. “We need to make sure that both businesses and local communities have unconditional support and have strong alternative solutions in times of change.”
In 2019, Emma worked alongside an Alberta recycling company to increase car bumper recycling across Alberta. She found solutions for auto body shops, insurance companies and city hall to work together to provide services that were economically viable and convenient for all parties.
“We need to support our environment and our economy together, through innovation and a transition into the green economy.”
“From improving healthcare to food and housing affordability, I know that there is a lot of work to be done within the Foothills region. The Green Party has the perfect foundation, and I have the passion to make it happen.”
