Biography
Living in Glengarry-Prescott-Russell for most of my life, I have developed a deep connection to the community through years of working, performing, volunteering, and currently as a stay-at-home parent. These experiences have given me a rooted understanding of the issues that matter most to residents and a pragmatic perspective on how to address them.
I believe Canada’s democratic process urgently needs electoral reform, and I advocate for cross-party collaboration to achieve meaningful change. I am committed to being a collaborative voice for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, ensuring fairness and sustainability are prioritized in federal policies that benefit our community and country for generations to come. With a B.A. in Law and a B.Sc., I focus on championing evidence-based policy decisions that are realistic, impactful, and grounded in science.
In the community, I am known for my activism and dedication to sustainable practices. I transformed a portion of my farmland into a community garden, partnering with the Vankleek Hill Food Bank to provide a safe space for residents to grow and access healthy, local food. I I helped secure B-Corp certification, represented the company on the Board of Sustain Ontario, and ensured it maintained organic certification.
I am actively involved with local organizations working to build a sustainable future for our region. As president of Eco East, I support initiatives like farm tours for students, tree plantings, butterfly gardens, municipal climate action plans, and documentary screenings. As a director with the Vankleek Hill Nature Society, I contribute to programs that protect natural habitats and educate the public through bird-watching events and guest speaker presentations.
I envision a future where sustainability, transparency, and prosperity shape our region. I see an upgraded intertie with Quebec delivering clean electricity, biodigesters converting waste into power and fertilizer, and a modernized grid powering thriving clean industries. I imagine farmers being rewarded for their stewardship, affordable housing built within urban boundaries, and a transparent government that improves communication and openly publishes information. If elected, I will amplify the voice of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell in Ottawa and advocate for practical, forward-thinking solutions that serve both people and the planet.
