Biography
Colton was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as the MLA for Argyle-Barrington in 2019 and was re-elected as the MLA for Argyle in 2021.
Colton earned a Bachelor of Science from Université Sainte-Anne in Church Point, NS. He later studied primary care paramedicine at Medavie HealthEd and advanced care paramedicine at Holland College.
Colton worked as a paramedic with Emergency Health Services in Western Nova Scotia.Colton is Nova Scotia's first Minister of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions, and also serves as the Minister of Service Nova Scotia, and Acadian Affairs and Francophonie. He has served as Minister of the Public Service Commission and Minister responsible for health infrastructure redevelopment.
