Biography
Isabelle Lalonde is driven by a lifelong commitment to community and social justice, and is proud to run as the NDP candidate for Cape Breton East.
As someone who chose to raise her family in this diverse district, she understands rural life's unique challenges and strengths.
With a strong background in nonprofit management, she has generated over half a million dollars in funding for various projects in her community. As Vice-Chair of the Cape Breton Food Hub, Isabelle has advocated for food security and resources that support families across Cape Breton Island. Known for her collaborative spirit, she brings a deep understanding of local challenges to her role. Isabelle's running to ensure Cape Breton East has a representative who will fight in Halifax for economic fairness, robust public services, and the resources rural families need to thrive.
