Janice Dongworth was born in Willow Bunch, the youngest of five children. In her young years, she worked at many different jobs. Janice was a longtime resident of Moose Jaw when she met her husband, a Dutch Air Force pilot. They moved to Holland and raised their children there. She lived in the Netherlands for 34 years, staying until her children graduated from university. She moved back to Saskatchewan, as she always knew in her heart she was a proud Canadian.
Here Janice became involved with anti-nuclear groups, and she has been involved in Saskatchewan’s environmental movement ever since. She has an inherent sense of social justice and will always defend those being persecuted or mistreated.
