Abbotsford resident Carmen Fast Hollett is an educator, musician, and community-minded leader who is passionate about helping families thrive at every stage of life. Born and raised in Abbotsford, Carmen has deep roots in the community and a strong appreciation for the people, events, and opportunities that make the city special.

Carmen has served as a faculty member in the School of the Arts, Media and Culture at Trinity Western University since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity Western University and a Master of Music from California State University, Los Angeles. Alongside her teaching career, she has mentored young musicians through piano instruction, music festivals, competitions, and Royal Conservatory examinations.

A collaborative and energetic leader, Carmen enjoys working with people, supporting youth, and contributing to creative and community-focused initiatives. Her volunteer experience includes music ministry in seniors’ homes, children’s camps, and international missions work.

Carmen’s husband Rodney is a chiropractor, and together they have built and operated a successful chiropractic clinic serving families throughout Abbotsford. Through their business, they have seen firsthand the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs, creating local jobs, and fostering a healthy community. Carmen believes that supporting both economic growth and community well-being is essential to building a city where families can put down roots and succeed.

Carmen and her husband Rodney are raising their family in Abbotsford and are actively involved in local sports, arts, and recreation programs. In her spare time, Carmen enjoys staying engaged in community issues and local government. Growing up, she often watched Abbotsford City Council meetings with her grandmother, sparking an early interest in public service and civic leadership. That passion has only grown over the years, and she is committed to helping ensure Abbotsford remains a strong, vibrant, and well-represented community for future generations.
