I'm a photographer, podcaster, author, mom of two, and founder of Clever Creative Studios. I'm also someone who believes the best ideas usually start with listening.

For years I've volunteered across Nanaimo, including helping run a school soup program where kids learned to grow food, build kitchen skills, and cook meals for their community. I've supported local organizations through thousands of volunteer photography hours because I believe community is built by people who show up for one another.

Like many families, I've watched affordability become harder, roads get busier, and everyday life become more expensive. Living with vision loss has also shaped how I see accessibility, not as a checkbox, but as something that should be woven into every decision we make.

I'm running for Nanaimo City Council because I want practical solutions, thoughtful planning, and transparent decision making. My priorities include housing, affordability, food security, accessibility, public safety, infrastructure, supporting local businesses, environmental stewardship, and making sure residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape our city.

I'm not interested in political theatre. I'm interested in asking good questions, working with people who hold different views, and helping build a Nanaimo that's accountable, sustainable, and welcoming for everyone.
