Biography

Tom Ikonomou is the Conservative Party of BC Candidate for Vancouver-Renfrew.

Born in Montreal to Greek parents, Tom is a proud Greek-Canadian. He moved to British Columbia at age eight and has called Vancouver home since 2016.

Tom has spent more than three decades serving people. For 18 years, he ran his own restaurants, meeting payroll and serving his neighbours. Since 2008, he has worked as a licensed REALTOR®, guiding families and seniors through some of the biggest decisions of their lives. He also brings more than 23 years of security experience in the film industry and has held a BC security licence since 2018.

Service runs deep for Tom. He is an Army veteran and a former volunteer firefighter, and today he serves as Treasurer of the Canadian Order of AHEPA, Chapter CJ31 in Burnaby, a grassroots non-profit supporting Hellenic heritage, education and community service.

After more than two decades keeping people safe, Tom knows what it takes. He wants Vancouver-Renfrew residents to feel secure in their homes and on their streets. He is also concerned about the bright young people leaving British Columbia, and he wants to make BC a place our youth would never want to leave.

For Tom, this campaign is not about him. It is about the people of Vancouver-Renfrew. He will put his community first and carry its voice into the Legislature. Away from work, Tom is a motorcyclist and an avid reader who enjoys the odd round of golf.
