Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
Dr. David Ghobrial is a dedicated physician, community leader, and advocate with a deep passion for healthcare, humanitarian work, and public service.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Ghobrial immigrated to Canada with his family in 1997 at the age of 10. He grew up in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), where he received his elementary school education before moving to Ajax, where he graduated high school with honours. Following his early education, he spent the next 12 years traveling between Canada, the United States, and Egypt, studying and training in medicine.

In 2014, Dr. Ghobrial graduated with his MD from the University of Alexandria in Egypt. Since then, he has worked in healthcare as a physician in Egypt and, for the past six years, has served as Clinic Director and CEO of the Beeton Walk-In Clinic in Beeton, Ontario. Under his leadership, the clinic has become the most reviewed and highest-rated medical clinic in the community, known for its patient-centered care and commitment to accessibility.

Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Ghobrial is a devoted husband and father of four young children. He and his family reside in the rural community between Tottenham and Bradford, where they actively participate in their local church as small home group leaders and Sunday school teachers.

His commitment to community service extends beyond the clinic. Alongside his wife, Samantha, Dr. Ghobrial frequently organizes community outreach events in partnership with the Thirsty Ministry, hosting dinners and live worship music events for the homeless in Bradford and the GTA. Their passion for humanitarian work has also taken them on mission trips to Egypt, Zambia, and other developing countries, where they work to spread the love of God through practical acts of service that transform lives.

Political Life & Advocacy

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Ghobrial has been active in local politics. He has been involved with the New Blue Party of Ontario, serving as the founding president and MPP candidate for Simcoe-Grey. His political engagement stems from a desire to advocate for policies that improve healthcare accessibility, community development, and family values.

Dr. Ghobrial is deeply committed to serving his local and global communities through healthcare, faith-based outreach, and public service, striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those he serves.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I'm running to provide a real conservative option. Healthcare and Education are in shambles, Crime is on the rise—all due to failed liberal policies under Wynne and continued by Ford. I'll fight for healthcare, education, and real leadership in Simcoe-Grey!

I am running to provide a truly conservative option for Ontarians—one that stands firm on principled governance and real solutions to the challenges we face. Ontario is at a critical crossroads, and only strong, principled leadership can steer us out of these troubling times.

For years, Kathleen Wynne’s reckless policies left our province in financial ruin, driving Ontario into a massive deficit while promoting radical social ideologies that have undermined our education system and core family values.

We hoped for a course correction under Doug Ford, but instead, he betrayed every conservative principle he campaigned on. He not only failed to reverse Wynne’s damage but deepened the financial deficit while introducing more liberal policies under a so-called ‘Conservative’ government. Instead of eliminating the explicit sex education and indoctrination curriculum, he made it even more explicit, introduced Critical Race Theory (CRT) into our schools, and continued to erode parental rights and moral foundations.

Ford also supported and praised the far-left federal government, aligning himself with Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland, endorsing their failed leadership during the pandemic. He backed the unconstitutional invocation of the Emergencies Act, a direct attack on the freedom of Ontarians, further proving that his government is nothing more than liberalism disguised under a conservative label.

Ontario Is in Crisis

Since Kathleen Wynne took office, Ontario has been on a downward spiral. Under Doug Ford, this decline has accelerated:

  1. Crime is on the rise
  2. Hard drugs are flooding our communities
  3. Overdose deaths are at record highs
  4. Ford’s “solution” has been to introduce injection sites—placing them right in the heart of our communities and near our schools
  5. More than 2 million Ontarians are left without a family doctor, forcing patients to overcrowded emergency rooms and long wait times for basic healthcare
  6. Emergency rooms are overwhelmed, and hallway medicine has become the new normal, a disgraceful state of affairs for a province as wealthy as Ontario
  7. Our education system is failing our students, who are falling further behind in critical subjects like math, science, and literacy due to ideological curriculum overhauls

My Plan as MPP for Simcoe-Grey

As your MPP, I will hold the so-called ‘Conservative’ Party accountable and fight for the people of Simcoe-Grey. I will work to ensure that far-left policies are stopped from infiltrating our communities and will focus on real solutions to Ontario’s most urgent crises:

1️⃣ Fixing Healthcare

  1. End bureaucratic bottlenecks that restrict access to family doctors and nurses
  2. Ensure proper funding to provide timely, quality care for all Ontarians
  3. Protect healthcare workers’ rights against forced ideological compliance
  4. Fix ER overcrowding and eliminate hallway medicine by expanding real healthcare services, not political band-aid solutions

2️⃣ Restoring Education

  1. Focus on real educationEnglish, science, mathematics, and literature
  2. Remove extremist indoctrination from the classroom—no more CRT, radical gender ideology, or politically motivated curriculums
  3. Empower parents to have a say in their children’s education
  4. Raise academic standards to ensure Ontario students are prepared for higher education and the workforce

This election is not just about choosing a party—it’s about choosing the future of Ontario. The people of Simcoe-Grey deserve real conservative leadership, not more of the same liberal policies under a different name.

I am running because Ontario needs a leader who will stand firm, speak the truth, and fight for our province’s future. I will not back down. I will not compromise. I will fight for our families, our freedoms, and the values that make our province great.

It’s time for a real conservative choice. It’s time to take back Ontario.
