They may still in the future!
Biography
Alex McPhee is your NDP candidate for Swift Current-Grasslands-Kindersley.
He is an entrepreneur and professional cartographer who has lived in Val Marie since 2020.
He holds a BSc in geophysics from the University of Alberta and has mapped much of Canada, with a special focus on the Prairie Provinces. His map of Saskatchewan has sold over 2,000 copies.
His interest in the forgotten and untold stories of prairie history has led him to chair Val Marie’s Grain Elevator museum board.
His experience in documenting local places has led to many enthusiastic collaborations with rural municipalities, Indigenous governments, and family history researchers.
He is extremely passionate about the fight to keep public services in small communities like Val Marie, and is dedicated to making life better for people in rural Saskatchewan.
For decades, Liberal and Conservative governments have let people down by cozying up to corporate power while ordinary Canadians struggle, especially those in rural areas. Alex is determined to stand up for those who have been left behind and bring real change to Ottawa.
Alex is here to represent Swift Current-Grasslands-Kindersley and fight for a future where everyone —not just the privileged few—can live with dignity and hope.
