When my first son went to school in SD61, I began to volunteer in the classroom. I was concerned back then in 2013, with what I was seeing. Students, caregivers, teachers and EAs were not receiving the support or funding they needed. I wanted the best we could get for my son and his peers, so I became PAC president of our school to better advocate the above mentioned groups. Then subsequently became president of VCPAC. When I felt that our legitimate concerns were not being addressed, I decided to run for trustee. I won and a quick google search will tell you everything about how that’s going. I am the only current Board Of Education member running for re-election because there are many major concerns I have regarding accountability, transparency and integrity in this district and the province. We all have a common goal, and we can reach it together through partnerships that are respectful, and meaningful. I’m asking you to vote for me to ensure SD61 works for students and teachers

Teachers and students and caregivers deserve to have trustees who have their best interests in mind with every vote. I have children in this district and I am a taxpayer. Knowing what I know, given the past 4 years, I fell compelled to run. I have the trustee experience needed.
