John O'Flynn
Biography
O'Flynn grew up in Vancouver as a son of Irish immigrants and has been a North Shore resident since 2002. Living at Spuraway Gardens since 2021, John recently retired as a teacher but remains active with the BC Social Studies Teachers Association Executive Committee.
O'Flynn's experiences in meetings, reviewing budgets, setting policies and staying connected with people has always been enjoyable for him.
John is a Board Director with BC Soccer since 2020, a West Van FC Maplewood soccer player and a West Van Pickleball Advisory Roundtable member. He serves on the West Van Awards Committee and is a 'Director-at-Large and Partnerships' with the West Van Historical Society.
John is excited to work with trusted incumbents and newly elected to ensure positive links between the Public and District administration, Board accountability for decisions and heard Community Voices that are listened too.
