Biography

Macklin McCall is the BC Conservative candidate for West Kelowna–Peachland. An Okanagan local and former RCMP officer with 19 years of service, he’s focused on safer communities, affordability and better local services.

I’m Macklin McCall, your BC Conservative candidate for West Kelowna–Peachland. I’ve spent my life in the Okanagan, grew up on a family farm in Okanagan Falls and have called West Kelowna home for more than 15 years.

Before entering politics, I served for 19 years with the RCMP. My work included frontline policing, emergency response and working alongside a mental health nurse to help people in crisis. That experience taught me the importance of listening, showing up when people need help and following through.

During my time as MLA, I advocated for safer communities, better wildfire prevention and response, improvements to Highway 97 and Westside Road, and better access to health care close to home. I also served as the Official Opposition critic for public safety and emergency management, holding government accountable on issues that directly affect our communities.

I’m running to build on that work and help make life more affordable. Our communities need reliable infrastructure, support for local businesses and a government that takes public safety seriously.

I love this community and want to see it thrive. I’ll keep listening, speaking up for West Kelowna–Peachland and working to get results for the people who call it home.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I’m running to make life more affordable, keep our communities safe and improve local roads and health care. West Kelowna–Peachland is my home, and I want a government that listens, follows through and puts British Columbians first.

I’m running because I care about this community and want people to be able to build a good life here. They should feel safe in their neighbourhoods, afford their bills, get health care when they need it and count on the roads they use every day.

During my 19 years with the RCMP, I saw how much people depend on public services when things go wrong. During my time as MLA, I pushed for action on public safety, wildfire prevention, local roads and access to health care. I want to keep that work moving forward.

West Kelowna–Peachland is my home. I share the frustrations people bring to me, and I’m running to help solve them. I want to bring my experience to a BC Conservative government that listens, follows through and puts British Columbians first.
