Aman Singh is a prominent civil and human rights lawyer and served as MLA for Richmond-Queensborough from 2020-2024, making history as the first turban-wearing Sikh elected to the BC Legislature. Aman has appeared at the BC Provincial and Supreme Courts and the BC Court of Appeal. He is a socially-conscious small business owner and has held roles as a director of the Professor Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation, the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers, the Friends of the Sikh Cadets Society, the People’s Legal Education Society and as a Governor of Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Aman was born in India, raised in Hong Kong, and moved with his family to B.C. Aman now lives in South Vancouver and takes pride and joy in being a father to his two children.

One of Aman’s missions is to bring more attention to the disease of addiction and the possibility of recovery. Aman is a recovered alcoholic who has been sober for over fifteen years and plays an active role in the recovery community. He has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people and families who are dealing with addiction and believes that communities that foster care and respect for all are key to recovery.
