Biography
Rodney Proskiw is the Conservative Party of BC candidate for North Coast-Haida Gwaii.
Rodney has lived in Prince Rupert for 20 years, and he and his wife Sheryl are proud to have raised their family on the North Coast.
Rodney brings a perspective few candidates can offer. As a small business owner, he knows what it takes to meet a payroll and keep the doors open. As a longtime union member with UFCW 1518, UFCW 247 and the Teamsters, he understands that families on the North Coast need good, stable jobs. That experience on both sides gives him the insight to listen to every point of view and find the solutions that work best for local residents.
Rodney has spent years serving his community. He is a past President of the Prince Rupert Lions Club and a past Zone Chairman of Lions International, and he retired as the longest-serving director on the board of Tourism Prince Rupert.
Rodney believes the North Coast has a vibrant future, with real opportunities ahead. But many of the issues facing the region are complex, and too many local voices are not being heard. He is running to change that.
