Peter Fassbender

Independent for Langley City Mayor
We are at a critical time in the Province and Region when it comes to issues of Transportation; Housing Supply and Affordability; Homelessness and the Opioid Crisis to name only a few, and I will provide strong and visionary leadership as Mayor of Langley City.

Misc. topics

Affordable Housing

My commitment is to work with the province and the region to make sure that we do everything we can to solve the affordability and supply issue.

Good Governance

My commitment is to work with Council and with Staff to build on the vision we already have and to make sure we expand it for the future, and to control taxes and to invest in the future of this community.

Homelessness

We can't solve it individually, but collectively we can find creative solutions. I want to be part of the solution.

Public Transit

We need to build a transit system that will serve all of the citizens of South of the Fraser and especially Langley City.

We need to see the full business cases for At Grade Rail and SkyTrain. The extension to Langley should be integrated into the Regional Network as more and more people will be travelling here for the jobs we are creating South of the Fraser. While years ago people left our community for jobs we are now a net importer of labour. Whatever is done it should not only look at the cost to build it, but also how efficient it will be over the next 20 to 30 years. This may include expansion further east.
