Continue to advance Good Governance through Communication, Accountability and Respect by: (1) ensuring that decision making is the result of debate at public board meetings and transparent to the tax payers of the Langleys through availability of live streaming and other media dissemination; (2) advocating for adequate funding and ensuring prudent financial stewardship to maintain the sustainability of good quality public education in the Langleys; and (3) requiring inclusive, receptive and meaningful consultation with all of the District’s partners – governments, taxpayers, parents, students and staff. Democracy thrives in the sunlight of inclusivity, transparency, and competence in public administration.

Megan Dykeman, a Langley farmer & business owner, is seeking her 3rd term as trustee. Campaigning on three principles, Accountability, Communication & Respect; Megan is currently Vice Chair of the Langley Board of Education & Chair of the Board Policy Committee.

Megan Dykeman, a Langley farmer and business owner, is seeking her third term as trustee in the Township of Langley.

Megan is currently Vice Chair of the Langley Board of Education, Chair of the Board Policy Committee, and the district Provincial Councilor, and sits on the BCSTA Finance Committee. She has also served on the Provincial committee for review of legislation related to municipal conflicts of interest and on the BCSTA Trustee Governance Committee.

Ms. Dykeman holds degrees in Governance, Law and Management and International Relations. She is the Managing Director of Strategics Canada, a consulting firm, and founder of Freedom Fields Farm, a specialty poultry farm. Active in her community, her volunteer activities include serving on the Langley Agricultural and Economic Advisory Committee for 8 years, 6 years as Community Chair. Megan is the founding “A” leader of the Langley 4-H poultry club. She has two children who attend public school in Langley.
