I envision a BC where people can afford to live, access the services they rely on, and feel they belong. Government should listen to communities, invest in people and the future, and make decisions that put people—not politics—at the centre.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
People ask what made me run, or why? And I say, why not? As an active community member, I couldn’t sit back and watch BC drown in deficits while decisions are made without putting people’s best interests at the centre. I decided to step up.

I’ve spent years as an active member of my community — listening to people, organizing, building connections and advocating for issues that matter. At a certain point, I realized that sitting on the sidelines and hoping someone else would speak up wasn’t enough.

I’m running because I’m concerned about the direction BC is heading. We are facing growing deficits and increasing pressure on the services people rely on, while too many decisions are made without sufficiently putting people’s everyday realities and best interests at the centre.

I believe government needs to listen more, be more accountable, and make decisions with the long-term health of our communities in mind. I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I’m willing to listen, ask hard questions, bring people together, and do the work.

For me, this is a natural extension of the community work I’ve already been doing. I’ve spent years helping people find their voice. Now I’m stepping forward to use mine — and to make sure our community’s voices are heard where decisions are made.
