Niklas was drawn to the NDP because of its values of compassion and solidarity. He believes that the federal government can be a powerful tool for good when it works for everyday people, not just those with wealth and influence. During his undergraduate studies at McGill University, motivated to create positive change, Niklas became President of the McGill NDP. He currently serves as the Secretary of Canada’s Young New Democrats, where he works with fellow NDP members from across the country to promote youth issues. Niklas knows that young people need a strong voice in Parliament to fight for them.
