I am running for the position of Mayor of Campbell River in upcoming municipal election.

I was born and raised in Campbell River; I served this community for 34 years in the Fire Service retiring with the rank of Fire Chief. Throughout my years of service to the community I volunteered in many different organizations. St John’s Ambulance, Greenway’s Land Trust and President of Minor Hockey are just a few of organizations I served on and with. Upon leaving the Fire Service in 2009 I put my name forward as a Councillor in the 2011 municipal election and served on Council for the next 7 years, choosing not to seek re-election in 2018.

These life experiences has prepared me to seek the position of Mayor for the City of Campbell River.

My top three priorities will be;

 Addressing the troubling situations with homelessness, unruly behavior and mental health and addiction.

Taxation, we have been told that taxes may increase in 2023 to between 10 and 12%

As the City continues to grow with are facing infrastructure deficiencies along with unaffordable housing and rent.
