I believe in the power and responsibility of education to create a common commitment to a capable and engaged citizenry. Through my work with children I am reminded of the responsibility we have to provide the means by which children can grow into the adults that will secure a civil, just, and dynamic society. I believe through our education system we have the opportunity to eliminate inequities that have existed for Indigenous children and address the barriers that have existed in creating safety for diversity.
