Biography
Since being elected to the Board of Education in 2022, Jo has focused on representing students, families, staff, and the broader community while bringing a practical local-government perspective to the board table. His experience working in municipal and regional government has given him an understanding of budgeting, public accountability, community partnerships, and the importance of collaboration between different levels of government.
Outside of his professional and trustee responsibilities, Jo has remained involved in the Kamloops community through volunteer work, community organizations, and his involvement with youth and local sports.
Jo is seeking re-election as School Trustee for Kamloops in the 2026 General Local Election, with a continued focus on responsible governance, strong public education, collaboration, and ensuring the voices of students, parents, educators, support staff, and the community are represented at the board table.
