I am a proud parent, grandparent and a Millwright by trade.
I’ve been a member of our Union Executive for 15 years, Pension Officer for 15 years, collective bargaining wage delegate for 3 contracts. 2 years ago, I was elected to a Trustee Position on the Pulp and Paper Pension Plan representing over 3,800 active members and almost 12,000 retirees in our Province. This position requires mandatory training and upgrading annually in fiscal responsibility, code of conduct and ethics. I have been a member of a Non-Profit Society for 17 years and the Chair of said Society for the past decade.
I am running for City Council because our community deserves leadership it can trust. My goal is to strengthen our city’s reputation and ensure decisions are made with transparency and accountability. I bring a commitment to strong leadership, fiscal responsibility, good governance, ethical decision making and moral accountability. I believe being elected to public office is an honour and our community deserve leaders who listen, communicate openly and take responsibility for the decisions they make.
