Jacob is a life-long resident of York-Durham, born and raised in Uxbridge. In 2010, Jacob was elected to council in the Township of Uxbridge – the youngest councillor in the Town’s history. Jacob served as Chair of the Sustainability, Watershed and Conservation Committee and shepherded the construction of the Uxbridge Rotary Skate Park. Following his time on council, Jacob completed his law degree at Queen’s University, and now practices international trade law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. His legal practice focuses on trade disputes and cross-border regulatory matters affecting Canadian and foreign businesses and consumers, including customs, economic sanctions, anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, and investment and treaty dispute litigation. Jacob currently lives in Uxbridge with his wife of 10 years, Megan. Megan is a mental health specialist working in hospitals across the GTA.
Jacob is running as part of Pierre Poilievre’s conservative team to bring common sense back to politics and governance. Life is unaffordable. The dream of home ownership for the next generation is dying while those who planned for retirement can no longer afford it. We need change to get Canada back on track.
