Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I want Penticton to be affordable, accessible, and sustainable. I want our citizens to feel happy live in the City of Penticton and feeling they can access the services they need!

Empower our organizations:

  • Isaac is committed to providing local government support to existing local non-profits/organizations doing valuable work in our community. The City must work with these groups to come up with collaborative solutions to help identify and provide the most impactful support. Isaac will use bylaws and policies to make our community organizations thrive and give them the opportunity to impact more lives, because that is what Penticton deserves.

Create a four-season city:

  • Penticton is a true four-season town and is why some many people live here. This has not been fully utilized to aid in our economic development. Isaac has had discussions with members of the Okanagan College about how the City of Penticton can provide support to expand programming and student housing. More students enrolling to our City will provide ours businesses and communities the vibrancy and support they need to be sustainable and resilient in our ever changing economy.

Provide Stability, Build Community:

  • Many in our community are frustrated and feeling insecure about the amount of crime and loss of public safety in Penticton. Isaac believes our community will be successful in addressing crime and public safety with holistic solutions to bolster our community’s resiliency. Crimes are committed out of desperation and from basic needs not being met. Housing and it’s affordability are two important securities in changing a person’s outlook on life. Isaac will use policies and bylaws to provide affordable and secure housing to give our community members a place they can call home.
