Kate Hansen recently retired from the RCMP after 29 years. She was the Penticton DARE officer, teaching children safety and decision-making skills. She is also a Mom, a children's book author, and children's liturgy teacher at St. John Vianney parish.
Reason for running

I want to ensure all children in our district have the best possible education. I will advocate for our youth and their educators, to ensure that they not only reach - but surpass - their potential. My strengths are strategic thinking, integrity and community service.
