Keefer understands how our community’s issues are connected—affordable housing, school enrolment, access to services such as childcare and seniors’ resources, and how we plan sustainable climate-resilient neighbourhoods.
Keefer Pelech grew up in Richmond and has been active in advocacy and electoral organizing in the city since 2015. Before working for BC’s Minister of Education, Keefer worked in environmental education and childcare, teaching nature programs to youth throughout Richmond’s parks and Richmond elementary schools.
He has also been actively involved in several non-partisan campaigns, such as the push for Temporary Modular Housing in Richmond and the fight to save Richmond Farmland from speculation and over-development.
In his free time Keefer plays drums and goes indoor bouldering. In his earlier life, Keefer helped to organize youth band nights across several Richmond Community Centres.
