Having grown up in Muskoka, Ontario developed a loving affinity for the natural world and strong interest in protecting it. Like many Canadians she recognizes the cultural significance of the environment as the foundation of our cultural heritage and identity. And so, as a proud member of the Green Party, Mystic is a dedicated advocate in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more equitable future for Ontarians.

After taking an interest in politics from a young age, Mystic has followed this passion to Carleton University where she is currently completing a degree in political science. She is motivated by values in social justice, mental health, and environmental sustainability which hasled to her collaboration with organizations like Apathy is Boring and the Green Party. Here she has engaged in community activism and initiatives propagating more resilient cities for the disproportionately forgotten. Including those within disabled or racialized communities whose calls for a bettered quality of life are silenced.

Mystic Plaunt is a champion for the expansion of social programs that uplift hard-working people trapped in the all too familiar cycle of insecurity and poverty. She is acutely aware and

passionate in addressing the affordability of housing so to build stronger communities with less scarcity. As well as tackling the mental health and addiction crisis through a preventative and compassionate human rights framework.
