Rishi Sharma

Focused investments into arts and recreation programming to create a more livable Saanich for all residents. Increased attention to our roads and sidewalks while building an active transportation system that is safe for all users! I would welcome a discussion with the community on implementing a "Destination Saanich" initiative. We need to develop and implement a strategy that builds a culture of economic success that allows for responsible growth of our community. Continued work toward climate change initiatives to help create a more energy efficient and climate change conscience district. Increasing diversity, equity and inclusion on council and in the District.

Rishi is hoping to have an opportunity to be part of a collaborative, consensus-building council that is ready to advocate for better, more affordable services for our residents. Sharma believes it’s time to focus on economic development in Saanich to generate more revenue for services and supports for local residents without having to continue to raise taxes and fees. Now is the time to implement a culture of economic success and responsible growth so residents in Saanich can enjoy affordable living and improved amenities and programs, while keeping more of their hard-earned money in their pockets.
