As a Paralympic Athlete who competed in 5 Paralympic games, winning 12 Paralympic medals for Canada, I know how to dig deep and work hard for myself and my community. As a parent of twins in elementary school, I am seeking an opportunity to work within a family focused environment.
Through my history in wheelchair sports dating back to the 70’s, I travelled the province speaking to schools and community groups about how the lessons learned in sports will cross over into real world goals. For many years, I worked with Motivate Canada on The ESTEEM Team, and as an RBC Olympian, inspiring youth to follow their dreams and share my strategies for life and sports.
In the last 15 years I have worked in the in the medical equipment business aiding new clients with overcoming their physical challenges. Being a Sales Representative collaborating with the Occupational Therapist and healthcare team,
Most recently as a RHFAC professional I have been evaluating and recommending meaningful accessibility solutions for cities and businesses wanting to prepare beyond the building code for people with disabilities and the aging demographics.
