A longtime resident of Coquitlam, Mo Darwish and his wife are raising their two sons in Maillardville. Mo has been a member of the City of Coquitlam's Economic Development Advisory Committee. He has served for over 10 years as the president of a strata council helping build sustainable communities. Driven by a sense of duty, Mo mobilized the local community to help victims of the Beirut explosion.
Mo is a seasoned executive with a demonstrated history of working with strategic partners to deliver technological innovations. For over 25 years, he has been building companies to transform ideas into businesses that export Canadian technology to the world. He has taught senior classes in computer engineering, and he was a mentor with the graduate engineering program at the University of British Columbia.
Mo holds a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of British Columbia and has published in prestigious journals. He was a mentor and speaker with the Hult Prize, a global initiative that empowers young people to change the world through business and backed by the Clinton Foundation.
